Chinese investors plan to implement projects in Tashkent region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A series of new investment projects involving Chinese companies are set to be launched in Nurafshon and Angren, according to the khokimiyat of Tashkent region.

A delegation of local government representatives from Nurafshon held negotiations with the management of Extol Global Capital Pte. Ltd and other investors from Zhejiang province.

As a result, agreements were reached to jointly implement initiatives with a total value of US$106 million.

In Nurafshon, the planned projects include the creation of a construction materials cluster with an investment volume of US$12.5 million, as well as the construction of a cosmetics production plant. Additionally, Chinese partners intend to build a residential complex, a hotel, and a restaurant in the business district of Nurafshon Business City.

These projects are expected to create over 2,000 new jobs.

In the Angren Free Economic Zone, several industrial projects with Chinese investment are also planned. The city’s khokim, Alisher Raimov, held negotiations with investors from Hunan, Anhui, Shandong, and Guangdong provinces, resulting in the signing of cooperation memorandums with companies such as Anhui Jinpeng Energy Saving Technology, Infy Power, and Xintay.

Under the agreements, production of furniture, windows and doors, water filters, solar panels, battery systems, and automotive parts will be established.
