Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development held a meeting with representatives of BES Cultural Tourism Group.

At the meeting, the Chinese side expressed interest in investing in priority areas of tourism industry, in particular in construction project of Caravanserais along Golden tourist corridor of the Silk Road. This architectural-construction project involves construction of 30 tourist centers in a number of cities of China and Central Asia, as well as creation of a Joint Investment Fund.

Acting Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Development Abdulaziz Akkulov provided information on the current situation of tourism sector in Uzbekistan, benefits, subsidies and preferences for foreign investors, visa regime for foreign citizens, statistical indicators of annual growth of tourist flow to Uzbekistan.

Representatives of BES Cultural Tourism Group expressed interest in continuing negotiations with leadership of the State Committee for Tourism Development and signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, as well as invited representatives of the Committee to attend International Economic Forum, which will be held on 10-12 September 2019 in Xi’an, China.

In turn, guests were invited to attend International Investment Forum on August 29-30, 2019 in Jizzakh, within the framework of which there will be an opportunity to consider and sign an agreement on mutual cooperation.

Following the meeting, further cooperation issues in education were discussed.
