Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held in the khokimiyat of Namangan region with a delegation of the world’s largest electronic online trading platform, headed by Vice President of the Chinese corporation Alibaba, Chris Zhou, Dunyo news agency reported.

According to the information service of the khokimiyat, the head of the region Shavkat Abdurazakov stressed that this cooperation is beneficial to both parties and noted that the local authorities will provide all the necessary support.

“Namangan is located in a convenient point of the valley, where seven regions of three republics are located, with a population of 12 million people. We have qualified personnel, specialists with modern skills. IT Park is a convenient place to implement this project,” the head of the region said.

Chris Zhou said that he came to Namangan not in vain. “Namangan will become a regional center for the export of textile, industrial, IT and agricultural products,” said the Vice President of Alibaba.

After the meeting, the head of the region acquainted the guests with the buildings and facilities of the Namangan branch of IT Park, proposed for the Alibaba regional center.
