Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Shandong Weida Construction Machinery Co. Ltd, a Chinese company, plans to establish a construction materials production facility in Ferghana region, according to the regional administration.

On 24 December, the head of the regional administration, Khayrullo Bazarov, met with a company delegation to discuss the project for a construction components factory in the Dangara District.

The first phase of production will focus on manufacturing gas blocks, with plans to expand into the production of construction adhesive and partition walls in the future. The production process will be fully automated.

The Chinese company intends to invest US$25 million in the project and create more than 100 jobs. The regional governor expressed support for the project, emphasizing the strong demand for construction materials both in domestic and international markets.
