Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An official meeting took place at the Tashkent City Administration with a delegation from China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), led by the General Director of the division, Liu Dong.
Tashkent Mayor Shavkat Umurzakov welcomed the guests and emphasized the readiness for constructive and mutually beneficial cooperation.
In his address, he noted that the successful development of the partnership between the city administration and the Chinese company was made possible due to the political will of the leaders of both countries, who laid a solid foundation for collaboration.
As a result of the meeting, which continued a series of negotiations and previously reached agreements, several agreements were signed in the following areas:
Reconstruction and Modernization of Tashkent’s Road Infrastructure: The project, valued at US$300 million, will involve the reconstruction of the city’s roads and supporting infrastructure. Over 200 local and foreign specialists, including surveyors, transport engineers, and designers, will participate in the implementation of the project.
Establishment of a Joint Venture for Design and Training: This project will create more than 20 jobs and focus on the training and professional development of specialists in road construction and infrastructure development, including architects, designers, and planners.
Design and Construction of Bridges: A US$259 million contract has been signed for the design and construction of bridges. The project will create 160 new jobs and significantly improve road traffic in the capital by eliminating congestion issues.
Construction of a Large Residential Complex: The project, valued at approximately US$440 million, will involve the construction of a modern residential complex with business and shopping centers, as well as preschool and school educational institutions. Currently, the project is under discussion.
