Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan Airports held talks with the Chinese airline China Southern Airlines to discuss prospects for further cooperation, increasing flight frequency, and opening new routes to airports in Uzbekistan.

The airline is considering increasing the number of flights on existing routes to seven times per week. Currently, China Southern Airlines operates flights from Tashkent to Beijing (four times a week) and to Urumqi (five times a week). In return, Uzbekistan Airports proposed expanding new routes to Chinese cities from airports in the Fergana Valley, including Andijan, Namangan, and Fergana.

China Southern Airlines is one of the largest airlines in China, based in Guangzhou (Guangdong province), operating domestic, regional, and international flights.
