China is interested in creating specialized small industrial zones in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the Uzcharmsanoat association held a meeting with the leadership of the Dongguan city division of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). The topic of discussion was the implementation of investment projects based on Chinese capital in specialized small industrial zones created in Uzbekistan.

At the meeting, representatives of the Council were given detailed information about the reforms being implemented in the leather and footwear industry of our country, its legislative framework, production, investment and export potential. We also familiarized the Chinese side with the opportunities created for investors, including tax and customs benefits and preferences provided by the state.

The leadership of the Dongguan City Council reported that the favorable business environment created in Uzbekistan is an important factor for enterprises in this city. In particular, it was proposed to implement projects for the production of finished products from genuine leather on the basis of Chinese capital in small industrial zones of Uzbekistan, specializing in the leather and footwear industry. Representatives of the Dongguan City Council plan to make a business mission to Uzbekistan this year to familiarize themselves with the activities of small industrial zones and the created infrastructure.

After this, the Council will organize a trip to our country for Chinese industry companies.

As a result of the dialogue, an agreement was reached on the signing on 25 January at the Uzbek-Chinese investment forum in Shenzhen of a memorandum of cooperation between the Uzcharmsanoat association and the Dongguan city division of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).
