China Eastern Airlines Launches Regular Flights Between Xi’an and Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Chinese carrier China Eastern Airlines has officially entered the Uzbek market by launching a regular flight service on the Xi’an–Tashkent–Xi’an route. The inaugural flight landed at Tashkent International Airport on 16 July at 14:50.
The arrival of the aircraft, carrying 137 passengers, was marked by a ceremonial water salute, with the crew welcomed with flowers and a festive atmosphere.
“China Eastern is proud to launch direct flights between two historic capitals of the Great Silk Road — Xi’an and Tashkent. Our priorities are safety, comfort, and high-quality service,” emphasized Zhu Suemin, a representative of the airline.
Flights will be operated three times a week — on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays — using comfortable Airbus A320 aircraft. The journey will take approximately 4.5 hours.
