Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan are actively working on a joint project to establish the assembly of Chevrolet Cobalt vehicles using CKD (Complete Knock Down) technology.

According to Azerbaijan’s Trend news agency, Azermash is involved in the project. Production of Cobalt vehicles is expected to begin in 2025, with a planned capacity of 15,000 cars per year.

As part of the cooperation, Chevrolet Tracker and Chevrolet Onix cars are also being produced at a plant in Hajigabul.

Chevrolet-branded cars in Uzbekistan are manufactured by UzAuto Motors.
