Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded members of the national chess team for their successes at the 45th Chess Olympiad.

The men’s team secured third place in the overall standings, while the women’s team finished in 12th position.

A ceremonial reception for the bronze medalists was held in Tashkent, where they were honored at the capital’s airport.

The men’s team consisted of Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Nodirbek Yakubboev, Javokhir Sindarov, Shamsiddin Vokhidov, and Jahongir Vokhidov.

Each of them was awarded a BYD Chazor car and cash prizes, the amount of which was not disclosed.
