Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chinese automaker Chery presented new car models OMODA E5 and OMODA 7, as well as hybrid crossovers of the JAECOO brand - J7 PHEV and J8 PHEV.

New eco-friendly models under the OMODA and JAECOO brands were presented at the Beijing Auto Show.

OMODA E5

OMODA E5 is a crossover that combines stylish design, advanced technology and impressive dynamics. It is ideal for emission-free city driving and offers ample space in both the cabin and trunk.

The design of OMODA E5 corresponds to the corporate style of the Chery brand, attracting attention with its dynamic shape and bright lighting elements. The interior of the car is minimalist, and the main focus is the wide dual screen of the dashboard.

The car’s electric motor produces 225 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds. The 61 kWh battery allows you to travel about 450 km on a single charge.

OMODA 7

In addition, Chery introduced a new mid-size flagship crossover OMODA 7, which is expected in hybrid and regular versions. It features an aggressive design with sharp corners and edges, as well as innovative lighting elements and a frameless grille.

The interior of the new OMODA C7 was inspired by elements of computer games. The angular steering wheel is designed to evoke the controllers of game consoles, and the seats are modeled after seats from gaming chairs.

One of the unique features of the OMODA C7’s cabin is the 15.6-inch 2.5K resolution display that can be moved from the center position to the front passenger. Also promised are climate control with fragrance and 14 Sony speakers, two of which are built into the driver’s headrest.

The dimensions of the new product are 4621x1872x1673 millimeters with a wheelbase of 2.7 meters.
The crossover will be equipped with a hybrid installation based on a 1.5-liter engine with a capacity of 156 horsepower. Fuel consumption is expected to be 4.89 liters per 100 kilometers.

Later, a pure petrol modification of the OMODA C7 with a 1.6-liter engine from the JAECOO J7 should appear.

JAECOO

The JAECOO J7 PHEV and JAECOO J8 PHEV hybrid crossovers were also presented at the Beijing Auto Show, demonstrating the company’s high technological level.

JAECOO J7 PHEV

The JAECOO J7 PHEV crossover is equipped with new energy-saving wheels that reduce the drag coefficient to 0.318 and provide an electric range of up to 88 kilometers. In hybrid mode, the range can reach 1,200 kilometers, and fuel consumption is only 4.9 liters per 100 kilometers.

The JAECOO J7 PHEV crossover is equipped with a fifth-generation 1.5TGDI hybrid engine, which provides best-in-class thermal efficiency of 44.5%.

Total power is 255 kW and torque is 525 Nm.

JAECOO J8 PHEV

The flagship SUV JAECOO J8 PHEV, thanks to the new third-generation hybrid platform, represents a truly impressive technical achievement. It is powered by a fifth-generation 1.5TGDI hybrid engine coupled with a more advanced three-stage DHT hybrid system. The total power of the JAECOO J8 PHEV reaches 445 kW and the total torque is 915 Nm. This hybrid crossover can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds and also has advanced off-road capabilities.
