Chery plans to introduce cars based on Chery QPower in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chinese automaker Chery plans to introduce cars based on the Chery QPower architecture with hybrid technology in Uzbekistan.

Chery QPower architecture aims to promote a more efficient, greener and smarter global energy mix by offering solutions for various energy sources such as internal combustion combustion vehicles (ICE) and hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs).

Using QPower architecture, internal combustion vehicles provide a more fuel-efficient, faster and more comfortable travel experience.

Also powered by QPower architecture, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) provide a more efficient, greener and smarter travel experience.

Chery Automobile has consistently asserted its reputation as a leading technology brand, striving to establish itself as a globally competitive technology brand. This commitment is essential to overcome Chery’s obstacles in the international arena and strengthen consumer confidence.

The Chery QPower architecture, unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show, is a continuation and leap forward in Chery’s 26-year history of energy technology. It covers various energy solutions, including internal combustion and hybrid electric vehicles, as it prepares to harness the power of technology to better support Chery’s products and brand.

Looking to the future, this architecture aims to meet a wider range of user needs in different travel scenarios, ultimately creating experiences that exceed user expectations.

ICE: Powerful and Fast

Chery QPower architecture provides a powerful and fast internal combustion engine (ICE), equipped with a 2.0TGDI engine and innovative technologies such as:

1. Second generation i-HEC intelligent combustion system: Improves combustion efficiency for improved performance and fuel economy.

2. Second generation intelligent thermal management system: Provides optimal engine operating temperature to improve engine efficiency and reliability.

3. All-round intelligent four-wheel drive control system: Co-developed with ZF brand, it provides stability, confidence and safety when driving in various conditions.

4. Super Low Friction Technology and Instant Load Response System: Provides smooth and fast vehicle acceleration.

The 2.0TGDI engine with a maximum power of 145 kW and a peak torque of 375 Nm allows the car to accelerate to 100 km/h in 7 seconds. This ensures high performance and acceleration in a variety of conditions such as city roads, highways, mountainous areas and urban street roads.

ICE Chery QPower has been successfully applied in various models of the Tiggo family and mid- and high-end models of the Arrizo family in overseas markets, meeting the power and performance needs of consumers.

PHEV: Efficient and green

Chery introduces innovative PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) technology, which ensures energy efficiency and environmental friendliness.

Key features of Chery’s PHEV system include:

1. Pioneer 3-speed DHT (Dedicated Hybrid Transmission) and 3-speed dual-motor drive system: These technologies ensure efficient power transmission and smooth control, achieving a high transmission rate of 97.6%.

2. Advanced lithium battery technology: The use of ternary lithium batteries provides high energy density and an electric range of up to 75 kilometers under NEDC conditions and more than 1000 kilometers in total.

3. Intelligent Control System: Chery’s control system ensures optimal energy and power management to achieve outstanding cost-effectiveness and stability under a variety of riding conditions.

4. Compatible with various driving scenarios and conditions: Chery’s PHEV successfully copes with a variety of road conditions, including steep slopes, high temperatures and rainy regions, ensuring reliable and comfortable driving.

Models equipped with Chery’s PHEV technology, such as the Tiggo 8 Pro Plug-in Hybrid and Tiggo 7 Pro Plug-in Hybrid, have already been successfully launched in international markets, ushering in a new era of green travel and being praised for their cost-effectiveness and user experience.

Plans for Uzbekistan

Director of Chery Uzbekistan, Mr. Gong, emphasized that QPower is Chery’s new power brand. It is a collection of Chery’s latest technologies, including engines, transmissions, hybrid engines, hybrid systems, batteries, motors, electronic controls and so on, similar to Audi’s quattro power brand and Toyota’s TNGA car concept.

According to him, QPower will be presented at the Beijing Global Auto Show in China in April, and then it is planned to begin its production in Uzbekistan in the fall of the third quarter of 2024.

Gong also noted that there are many models equipped with QPower technology. “We are currently planning to release the following models in Uzbekistan: Tiggo 8Pro PHEV (2024), Tiggo 7Pro PHEV (2024), Arrizo 8 PHEV, iCar 03 (2025), as well as the new Tiggo 8Pro (2024) and Tiggo 7Pro,” - he added.
