Economy 04/06/2007 Charter capital of Uztransgas to increase 3.6 times

Uztransgas joint stock company, Uzbek gas transportation company, will increase its charter capital due to inclusion of interregional gas supply companies into its structure, Uzbekistan Today reported.

Extraordinary meeting of shareholders of Uztransgas adopted a decision to increase its auhtorized capital by 3.6 times to 460,844 billion soums.

The growth of charter capital by 344.08 billion soums is connected with inclusion of the properties of interregional gas supply companies on the assessed value.

Last August, Uzbek President Islam Karimov transferred the assets of 14 territorial gas companies, which were part of the Uzkommunixizmat Agency to Uztransgas.

According to presidential resolution, these companies were reorganized to six interregional unitary companies of Uztransgas for gas supply of all consumer categories. This decision was made for the purpose of establishing the single technological system of natural gas transportation and sale in the home market as well as strengthening the gas payment disciplines and reducing gas waste in distributing it.
