Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 1 August, a videoconference meeting was held between Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov and co-founder of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Debasmita Roy Chakraborty.

FICCI is the largest supreme organization in India, which includes more than 300 thousand members in various sectors of the economy, as well as international companies and regional chambers of commerce.The main goal of this meeting is to deepen cooperation in trade, economic, investment, scientific, educational and humanitarian spheres.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and India in such areas as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, tourism, the jewelry industry and IT.

Following the results of the negotiations, the parties agreed to organize a business forum and B2B meetings in the city of Tashkent in October this year, with the participation of leading entrepreneurs of the two countries in order to expand cooperation in investment and trade and economic spheres.
