According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministry of Uzbekistan from 29 September 2012, Farrukh Rizaev has been appointed to the post of the chairperson of Uzbektourism national company.

Uzbektourism national company was founded on 27 July 1992 with the decree of the President of Uzbekistan. Uzbektourism was entrusted to conduct state policy in tourism and formation of national model on tourism development.

Uzbektourism coordinates activities of tourism organizations in Uzbekistan and stimulate development of tourism in the country. It also works on attracting foreign investments to the sector.
