Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 24 April, the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbaeva, held negotiations with a delegation led by the President of the Utah State Senate Stuart Adams.

Key areas of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States were discussed, including the development of trade, economic relations, labor relations, gender equality, and strengthening inter-parliamentary dialogue.

During the dialogue, opinions were exchanged on the implementation of joint projects in the areas of investment, goods and services markets, mining industry, energy, and information technology. The importance of implementing specific projects of mutual interest, fostering cooperation, and strengthening ties between regions with the business circles of the state of Utah was emphasized.

The parties also focused on activating social projects related to cooperation in gender equality, labor relations, migration, healthcare, and education.

Stuart Adams stated that he closely follows and highly appreciates the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. He also noted that the Utah State Senate is ready to utilize all opportunities in various directions and is interested in supporting business and entrepreneurial activities, as well as initiating promising projects in the social sphere.

An agreement was reached during the meeting to further develop inter-parliamentary dialogue, establish cooperation between local representative bodies, and exchange experiences.
