Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, held a meeting with the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Uzbekistan, Sabine Machl.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the successful projects being implemented within the framework of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UN, as well as future plans, including the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, the protection of human rights, and gender equality.

Sabine Machl emphasized that Uzbekistan is undergoing dynamic reforms in all sectors, with significant achievements resulting from its policy of openness, serving as an example for other countries.

The dialogue also included proposals for joint efforts within the framework of the "16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence" campaign and the development of educational programs to enhance the activities of local Kengashes (Councils).
