Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 29 August, the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva held a meeting with the Head of the UNICEF Representation in Uzbekistan, Regina Maria Castillo.

During the meeting, they discussed various projects being implemented in collaboration with United Nations agencies, including UNICEF, and explored possibilities for their enhancement and expansion.

The primary focus was on cooperation in the areas of child rights protection, maternal and child health improvement, quality education implementation, and healthcare system enhancement.

Special attention was given to issues related to social protection for children, the introduction of inclusive projects for children with disabilities, and the training and qualification improvement of personnel in this field.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to develop cooperation programs aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles and implementing proper nutrition guidelines in schools and preschool educational institutions.
