Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The results of a recent scholarship competition held by the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation have been summed up. According to the results of the competition, 154 talented and promising young people were recognized as Foundation scholarship holders.

Chairperson of the Senate Tanzila Narbayeva and senators held an open dialogue with the scholarship holders of the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation as part of their visit to the Senate of the Oliy Majlis. The fellows were familiarized with the activities of the Senate, its composition, senators, ongoing changes in legislation.

At the meeting, the Chairperson of the Senate T. Narbayeva warmly congratulated the winners of the El-Yurt Umidi scholarship competition, emphasizing that under the leadership of the head of state, all conditions are being created for the formation and attraction of a new generation of professional, deeply educated, modern and patriotically educated personnel to the civil service.

It was noted that support under the leadership of the head of state of youth education abroad on the basis of a grant is bearing fruit. Currently, about 500 scholarship holders are studying at the expense of the Foundation in the most prestigious educational and research, innovation and practical centers in the USA, Great Britain, Germany, France, Canada, Japan, Spain, South Korea and other developed countries. All these indicators indicate that intellectually developed youth is being formed in Uzbekistan.

During the dialogue, the fellows made proposals to the Chairman of the Senate on various topics and received detailed answers to their questions. In particular, young people put forward a number of proposals to improve legislation in the field of cybersecurity, create new platforms to increase the social activity of women.
