Chagaev – Browne bout to be declared as invalid

The bout between Uzbekistan’s Ruslan Chagaev and Australia’s Lucas Browne for the title of “regular” champion of the WBA will be declared as invalid, WBA President Gilberto Mendoza
WBA stripped Australia’s of WBA Lucas Browne World heavyweight title and suspended him for six months for doping. Clenbuterol was found in doping samples of the boxer.
In the result, number of defeats of Ruslan Chagaev will be changed from three to two (33-2-1, 21 KO).
