CERR presented comprehensive monitoring of business activity in the regions of Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In June, positive trends in economic development were observed in Uzbekistan, expressed in the growth of key indicators such as tax and customs revenues, foreign trade operations and the number of enterprises. This reflects the intensification of the business environment and the expansion of local entrepreneurial initiative.

Analysis of business activity is monthly calculated by CERR on the basis of operational data (monitoring in all regions of the republic, according to the data of the State Customs Committee, the State Tax Committee, the Central Bank and the UzEx).

The volume of tax revenues in the republic as a whole increased by 12.5% compared to the same period last year, which indicates an expansion of economic activity.

The highest growth rates of tax revenues were recorded in the Republic of Karakalpakstan (18.3%), Surkhandarya (13.6%), and Khorezm (6.6%) regions.

Significant growth is observed in such key tax sources as income tax by 18%, property tax by 38% and land tax by 31%.

According to the information provided, the largest increase in customs revenues was recorded in the Kashkadarya and Jizzakh regions by 2.7 and 2.2 times, respectively, as well as in the Bukhara region by 65%.

This growth was driven by an increase in the volume of imported products for a number of key commodity items, such as transport equipment and components, technical equipment, metal and metal products, electrical engineering and components.

The volume of exports of goods has increased by 8.8% since the beginning of this year compared to the same period last year. The growth in transaction volumes in these regions was achieved by increasing the sale of goods such as cotton fiber, technical seeds, construction and household materials, diesel fuel, automobile gasoline, wheat, mineral fertilizers and other products.

The number of new business entities established in Uzbekistan amounted to 41.4 thousand.

The largest number of new enterprises and organizations is registered in Tashkent (8.2 thousand), then in Samarkand (about 4 thousand) and Khorezm (3.5 thousand) regions.
