Ceramics and china studio launched
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A ceramics and china studio of "IJOD" Association of artists, art critics and craftsmen of Uzbekistan has been opened on 24 October 2013. The main aim of the studio is to preserve and revive traditional art of Uzbekistan.

The studio was opened thanks to the grant from GULI brand. The studio was created in memory of china painter Shakhnoza Muminova, who made great contribution to development of this art in Uzbekistan.

The grant was issued within the Bazar-Art fair-exhibition and it is directed to revive traditional art in Uzbekistan. Since 2007, seven grants for 25 million soums were issued. It helped to open several shops and studios to revive textile, jewelry, ceramic arts.

The grant from GULI brand was used to purchase special pottery furnace. The guests of the ceremony also had chance to familiarize with vases, which were created on design of Gulnara Karimov and will be put for auction at gala-dinner on support women with breast cancer.
