Central Bank replaces licenses of three Uzbek banks
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Central Bank of Uzbekistan replaced letterheads of licenses to carry out banking operations and general license for conducting operations in hard currency of three banks in connection with the change of their names.

According to the regulator, the private joint stock exchange bank Trustbank was renamed into private joint stock bank Trustbank, while state joint stock commercial bank “Asaka” into joint stock commercial bank Asaka.

State commercial People’s Bank of Uzbekistan was renamed into joint stock commercial People’s Bank of Uzbekistan.

All three banks received new letterheads of licenses to carry out banking operations and general license for conducting operations in hard currency.

According to the presidential decree “On measures on introduction of modern methods of corporate management of joint stock companies” from 24 April 2015, it is banned to use word “state” n names of joint stock companies and other business entities, independently of the size of share of the state in their charter capital.
