Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Seven meetings of the Banking Supervision Committee of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan were held in March, the press service of the financial regulator of Uzbekistan said in a statment.

At these meetings, 33 issues were considered. Among them, eight questions related to compliance by banks and other financial institutions with the instructions and prudential requirements of the Central Bank, as well as the results of inspections.

One bank and one microcredit organization received warnings from the Central Bank. In addition, one payment organization’s license was limited for 6 months due to inactivity for a year.

The main part of the issues on the agenda of the meetings touched upon organizational and permitting aspects. The Committee reviewed 10 changes to the charters of credit institutions, as well as 9 applications for the acquisition of shares in the authorized capital of organizations.

During the month, five candidates for senior and key positions in commercial banks were also considered. In addition, the Central Bank issued a license to the microfinance organization Effective Money.
