Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Central Bank of Uzbekistan warned about the threat of fraud, urging citizens to be vigilant.
Recently, cases of calls from unknown numbers have been recorded, where scammers pretended to be employees of the Central Bank, trying to mislead their interlocutors.
A fake Telegram channel was also discovered that offered fraudulent online loans on behalf of the Central Bank.
The Central Bank emphasized that the regulator does not issue loans to individuals or provide other financial services directly to citizens.
The regulator also recalled the need to check information on official pages on social networks and called on citizens to be vigilant, avoiding transferring personal information to third parties and clicking on suspicious links.
