The Central Bank said that the coins are in white color and produced from steel with nickel alloy cover.
Front side (observe) of the coin has image of International Symposiums Palace, constructed in Tashkent. Below the image, the par value of coin “500” indicated. Under the figure, there is word “so’m” (soums). Figure and words are made in pressed form.
External circle of coins has inscription “O'ZBEKISTON MUSTAQILLIGIGA 20 YIL” (20 years to Uzbekistan’s Independence). Beginning and end of words limited with one dot.
The reverse side has emblem of Uzbekistan and inscription “O’ZBEKISTON MARKAZIY BANKI” (Central Bank of Uzbekistan”. Below the emblem, there is the coin’s date, thus 2011 and with two dots.
The national emblem rounded with 72 embossed dots. The coin diameter is 25 mm, thickness – 1.6mm and weight – 6 grams.
Central Bank of Uzbekistan said that new coins will be accepted on nominal value for all payments between business entities and population without any limits.
