Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a working group meeting dedicated to the implementation of the We-Fi Code initiative, which aims to support and develop women's entrepreneurship. The event was attended by representatives of commercial banks, microfinance organizations, and the National Association of Microfinance Institutions.

During the discussions, key directions and implementation mechanisms of the initiative were reviewed, roles and responsibilities of participants were defined, and cooperation with international partners—including the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and the Financial Alliance for Women—was discussed. Particular attention was given to the benefits and opportunities offered by the program, as well as international-level training programs organized within the We-Fi Code framework.

Participants also examined the findings of a study conducted by the consulting firm McKinsey and discussed the current state of women's entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan. A key topic of the meeting was the creation of an online platform (Dashboard) that will provide real-time, transparent access to key data and statistical indicators on women's entrepreneurship. Ongoing and planned work on its development and implementation was presented.

As a result of the meeting, a decision was made to establish a coordination group responsible for implementing the We-Fi Code initiative.
