Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Central Bank of Uzbekistan commented on the appearance of a photograph of a banknote with a face value of 400,000 soums, which spread on social networks.

The regulator stated that this banknote is a counterfeit and has not been officially put into circulation.

“The Central Bank has the exclusive right to issue banknotes as legal tender on the territory of Uzbekistan,” the regulator said in a statement.

At the same time, announcements about the issue of new banknotes, as well as their descriptions, are published by the Central Bank.
