Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- For January-March 2024, the total amount of cash receipts amounted to 184 trillion soums, and compared to the same period in 2023 increased by 30 percent.

Also, in the first quarter of 2024, there was an increase in the share of receipts through terminals in the total amount of cash receipts compared to the first quarter of 2023 from 38 percent to 40 percent. Accordingly, the share of receipts through terminals from trade and services in the total amount of receipts increased from 40 percent to 44 percent.

In January-March 2024, the volume of bank cash turnover amounted to 216 trillion soums, and compared to the same period in 2023 increased by 24 percent.

In particular, cash receipts to banks increased by 24 percent compared to the same period of last year and amounted to 109 trillion soums

In the first quarter of 2024, cash withdrawals from banks’ cash desks (including through ATMs) compared to the first quarter of 2023 increased by 24 percent and amounted to 107 trillion soums

In January-March 2024, 212 trillion soums were credited to bank cards. This figure increased by 1.3 times compared to the same period in 2023. In the first quarter of 2024, funds in the amount of 48 trillion were cashed out from bank cards. soums

If in January-March 2023, 24 percent of the proceeds to bank cards were cashed out (28 percent in January-March 2022), then this figure in 2024 was 23 percent.

During 3 months of this year, there was a decrease in the volume of cash issued into circulation by 3.0 trillion soums. The share of cash in the total money supply as of 1 April 2024 was 20.1 percent, and compared to the same period of last year decreased by 2.2 percentage points.
