Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Central Asian Business Expo 2024 took place at IT Park Uzbekistan, bringing together over 70 companies from Central Asia and North America. The event was organized by the Ministry of Digital Technologies, IT Park Uzbekistan, and CabExpo, with a focus on strengthening business ties, particularly in logistics.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Minister of Digital Technologies, delivered the opening remarks, highlighting: “The government prioritizes the development of the IT sector and provides comprehensive support to companies. President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized in his open dialogue with entrepreneurs that business incentives have been extended until 2040."
He further noted that the Enterprise Uzbekistan project would soon launch, creating additional opportunities. “We invite ITES companies to collaborate and are ready to ensure all the conditions for their comfortable and successful business operations.”
As part of the exhibition, a job fair was organized for young people in Uzbekistan, where over 30 leading companies presented open positions and discussed career prospects for talented specialists. Attendees had the opportunity to explore employer requirements in the logistics industry and assess their career opportunities.
CABXPO President Gulshanbek Ravshanbek welcomed the participants, emphasizing: “Our mission is to unite the peoples of Central Asia and foster strong ties between the communities. With the support of Minister Shavkat Shermatov, we have achieved significant progress in bringing the countries and peoples of the region closer together.”
He added, “We aim to help companies expand their horizons in international markets, with a special focus on the United States. A network of 20 companies has already been created in Chicago, focusing on joint truck procurement and resource pooling. By working together, we are accelerating business growth and enhancing efficiency.”

The event opened up great prospects for young specialists learning foreign languages and acquiring in-demand skills. The IT industry continues to develop, creating more job opportunities, providing a unique chance to build an international career while remaining at home.
Today, Uzbekistan has over 310 IT Park residents, mainly working in the U.S. and European markets. IT Park provides them with resources, infrastructure, and support for accelerated growth and entry into international markets.
“Logistics is one of the key sectors where we have achieved significant success. We have examples of successful projects in North America, where companies from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have made a notable impact. Our teams work night shifts to meet global client needs in Europe and the U.S.,” said Sultonmurod Rasulov, Head of Export Development for North America at IT Park.
The event also featured a panel discussion on “Talent Movement Forward: Outsourcing for Freight Transportation in Uzbekistan.” The participants discussed key skills needed to build a career in logistics. Speakers included Mohnur Abdukhamova (Lucid Logistics Academy), Zafar Yusupov (Loadmode), and moderator Nadira Saip (Inctec).
On 27 December, a closed event for logistics companies’ representatives took place, where participants discussed collaboration and exchanged experiences.
The Central Asian Business Expo 2024 became not just a business platform, but a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening the country’s economic potential. American companies had the opportunity to assess Uzbekistan’s potential, explore its infrastructure, and meet young talents. Many expressed an interest in opening offices in Uzbekistan.
For the youth, the event marked a significant step toward understanding opportunities in supply chain management. With the acquired knowledge, young specialists will be able to create their own companies, leading to job creation, investment attraction, and sustainable economic development in the country.
