Central Asia Aviation Summit held in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 12 September, the sixth Central Asia Aviation Summit (CAAS) took place in Tashkent.

The summit focused on improving air connectivity between Europe and Asia, addressing both passenger and cargo transportation. Experts and representatives from aviation companies discussed the development of air transportation in the CIS countries from the pre-pandemic period to the present.

Nearly all countries in the region have shown significant growth. The summit featured presentations of new aircraft models, discussions on current industry issues, and proposed solutions.

Special attention was given to the application of generative artificial intelligence in the operations of airports and airlines. Panel discussions covered topics such as financing and leasing in the aviation sector, interaction between airlines and airports, and strategies for achieving sustainable development and zero emissions.

The event was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan, the Civil Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan, IATA, Lufthansa Consulting, Embraer, Turkish Airlines, Uzbekistan Airports, Uzbekistan Airways, Centrum Air, Qanot Sharq, Woxsen University, the World Bank, and others.
