CCI of Uzbekistan expands areas of cooperation with France

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan headed by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the French-Uzbek business forum held in Paris, organized by the State Investment Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with MEDEF International (Movement of French Enterprises), with the support of ministries and departments of the Republic of Uzbekistan, signed a number of agreements on bilateral cooperation.

French small and medium-sized companies have a strong export-oriented approach. Currently, 32% of all French small and medium-sized companies are exporters and the Business France Agency, which was created in 2015 on the basis of the merger of several state agencies, plays a large role in organizing this process.

Every year, with the assistance of the Business France Agency, 40-50 thousand new French small companies begin to export their products.

In this regard, within the framework of the business forum between the Chamber of Commerce and the Business France Agency, a memorandum was signed providing for the organization of joint work on training Uzbek small companies by French specialists on how to bring them to export markets.

In addition, as part of the business forum, an agreement was signed with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), headquartered in Paris.

The International Chamber of Commerce was established in 1919 and is the world’s largest international organization that brings together 45 million businesses in 100 countries.

The signed agreement envisages the entry of the CCI of Uzbekistan into the International Chamber of Commerce (World Federation of Chambers), as well as the opening of the National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce in the building of the CCI of Uzbekistan (ICC Uzbekistan).

The signing of these agreements will create favorable conditions for investment activities, which in turn will lead to the development of mutually beneficial investment and economic ties, as well as will strengthen cooperation with the French Republic, will serve to develop trusting relations between countries.
