CCI of Uzbekistan and St. Petersburg sign a cooperation agreement

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 November 2022, the Interregional Economic Forum "Tashkent - St. Petersburg: New Horizons of Cooperation" was held in Tashkent.

The khokim of the city of Tashkent Jahongir Artikkhodjaev and the governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov delivered a welcoming speech.

The event was also attended by Islam Jasimov, First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Konstantin Zlygostev, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Uzbekistan, Vladimir Katenev, Chairman of the Council of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and others.

The main goal of the Economic Forum is to identify prospects and opportunities for further expanding business ties, developing bilateral trade, promoting joint investment projects and initiatives, and generally strengthening ties between the business circles of both countries.

At the event, an Agreement on Cooperation was signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Union "St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry", the parties, within their competence, will contribute to strengthening and expanding economic, trade, scientific and technical relations between organizations and entrepreneurs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Petersburg, including using the new most effective forms of economic interaction.

The program of the forum included reports and presentations, as well as negotiations and meetings in the B2B and B2G formats during which representatives of politics and business from both countries were able to discuss opportunities and prospects for further business cooperation.
