CBU organizes roundtable to discuss improvement of services
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Central Bank of Uzbekistan and Fund of Saving Banks of International Cooperation of Germany organized a roundtable dedicated to improving quality of services, rendered to clients.

The presidential resolution “On priority directions on further reforming and improving sustainability of financial-banking system of Uzbekistan in 2011-2015 and achievement high international rating figures” from 21 November 2010 envisages to increase the volume of deposits at commercial banks by 2.5 times.

The Central Bank regularly holds seminar and training directed at further improving trust of people to the banking system to achieve these goals. At the events, the clients familiarize with the services of the banks and make proposals to further improve their services.

Currently, the commercial banks offer various deposits, designed to various layers of population. This helps to develop the banking system.

The Central Bank said that the banks pay attention to interests, guarantees to safety of deposits, rights of depositors, quality of information-consulting services of the bank.

During the event, the invited foreign specialists shared experience of leading states in providing quality services to the population. It was noted that the banks should stimulate inflow of new clients and increase efficiency of services through segmenting them to groups on age, income, demands, etc.

The roundtable analyzed methods of attracting population to banking services and improving skills of specialists of financial institutions, etc.
