Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During the visit of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission to Uzbekistan, a meeting was held with the management of the Central Bank.
At the meeting, they discussed the latest economic changes in the country, the implemented monetary policy, the current macroeconomic situation and forecasts as well as issues related to technical assistance.
In particular, based on the global situation during the past period, the Central Bank provided information on the latest changes in monetary and macroprudential policies.
Based on the expected directions of macroeconomic development, the main and alternative scenarios developed by the Central Bank and the possible measures were discussed in detail. In this regard, the head of the IMF mission emphasized the support of the Central Bank's measures and policy in the field of monetary policy and financial stability.
At the end of the event, the spheres of the technical assistance provided by the IMF in terms of capacity building in the coming periods were determined.
