Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held between the management of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the experts of the World Bank within the framework of World Bank’s technical mission on the introduction of а bank resolution mechanism and the improvement of the deposits guarantee system.

During the meeting, the experts presented the results of the diagnostics of the current mechanism of guaranteeing and repaying deposits in commercial banks. Based on the results of diagnostics, as well as taking into account best practices and the international standards, a number of recommendations were provided to improve this mechanism.

In accordance with the recommendations provided, the parties agreed to continue work on the draft of the law on guaranteeing deposits in banks.
