Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Rights Protection of Uzbekistan has initiated a case against JSC “Toshkent Shahar Suv Ta’minoti”.

According to the committee, UzCarlsberg filed a complaint against the actions of Toshkent Shahar Suv Ta’minoti.

Under the terms of the signed communal and environmental regulatory document "On Discharge of Wastewater into Urban Sewage," UzCarlsberg is obligated to use a water volume coefficient of 68% for wastewater discharge. However, "Toshkent Shahar Suv Ta’minoti" applied a coefficient of 76% in relation to UzCarlsberg, leading to an overpayment of approximately 75 million Uzbek soms.

Based on this, the Tashkent territorial department of the Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Rights Protection has initiated a case against AO "Toshkent Shahar Suv Ta’minoti" for suspected violation of Article 16 of the Law on Natural Monopolies.
