Fund Forum said that some 2,080 women were inspected by medical specialists in Khorezm and Navoi regions, as well as Karakalpakstan.

The campaign is organized by “In the Name of Life” National Breast Cancer Association, Women’s Council at the support of the Ministry of Healthcare of Uzbekistan, medical centers Salus Vita and MDS Service.

During the campaign, women undergo examination of mammalogists, cancer specialists, and ultrasound specialists. This year, the campaign focuses on examination of women of Armed Forces of Uzbekistan and spouses of the servants as it is conducted in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence of Uzbekistan.

Fund Forum said that two cases of breast cancer were revealed in three regions and some more cancer cases. Along with examination, the doctors carried out polls on knowledge of women about breast cancer and taught them on diagnosing breast and disseminated booklets about breast cancer.
