Uzbek Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyayev signed a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On introduction of corrections to Programme on location of ready products, components and material based on industrial cooperation for 2009” on 15 December.

The document was approved in order for further stimulation of production of competitive export oriented and import replacing goods, strengthening inter-industrial cooperation, including between small businesses and large enterprises of Uzbekistan.

Programme on location of ready products, components and material based on industrial cooperation for 2009was approved by the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan from 27 January 2009.

In line with the document, 18 new projects on localization of spare parts and components and two projects on locatization of production of ready goods, raw materials and materials were included to the programme.

The Government also withdrew 21 projects from the Localization Programme in connection with liquidation of enterprises and due to no demand to products in internal markets, as well as low competitiveness of the products due to price and quality.
