Additionally, BYD’s overseas sales of passenger NEVs grew by 71.9%, reaching 417,200 units, reflecting the company’s commitment to expanding its international presence.
BYD is among the key players experiencing significant growth as China, the world’s largest automobile manufacturer, transitions towards greener technologies.
According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, Chinese automakers sold over 11.26 million NEVs in the first 11 months of 2024, a 35.6% increase year-on-year.
In the context of global efforts to combat climate change, NEVs play a crucial role in reducing carbon emissions in the transportation sector. The International Energy Agency (IEA) estimates that global NEV sales must reach 45 million units by 2030 to achieve carbon neutrality.
