UzA reported that it was organized by Tashkent regional branch of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

The event was dedicated to further developing textile, clothing manufacture and fashion industry in Uzbekistan. It was held within the project “EurAsia-Fashion – strengthening partnership and cooperation between Central Asia and Europe in fashion industry”. The project is aimed at supporting small and private businesses in textile and clothing manufacture industry.

Representatives of ministries and departments, companies and concerns, which work in textile and light industry of two states, participated at the event.

The delegation of Greece led by President of Hellenic Fashion Industry Association Meletis Karabinis includes representatives of Hellenic Clothing Manufacturers’ Association, Hellenic Research Center for clothing materials and fiber, textile companies and others.

During the exchange, the sides discussed perspectives of textile and fashion industries of two states and considered issues of further expanding of cooperation, strengthening trade relations, implementing joint projects.
