The project was aimed at developing logistics companies, especially in small and medium businesses, to increase their international competitiveness. One of the main goals of the project was certification of enterprises and four out of six pilot companies achieved this.

The business forum helped to notify representatives of transport and logistics sector about the project and promote advantages of introduction of ISO 9001.

It is expected that representatives of small and medium businesses will continue to implement their knowledge, gained during their participation in the project, and introduce ISO standards. The event participants will discuss development of action plans on introduction of ISO and quality management standards in the sector. The forum helped to strengthen business cooperation in the transport and logistics sector, as well as public and private interaction.

The business forum has been organized by the German society of international cooperation (GIZ) in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and Association of Logistics Business Development.
