Official opening ceremony of BFC was held on November 18, 2011. The event was attended by entrepreneurs, government officials, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and several Embassies in Uzbekistan as well as other organizations.

In BFC entrepreneurs and small business representatives are able to get a set of government services aimed to promote their activities. BFC consultants provide direct assistance to entrepreneurs to get a variety of permits and certificates from state and commercial organizations.

Participants of this event had a chance to assess the functionality of info-kiosk in BFC which contains systematized information for entrepreneurs on key aspects of doing business. Presentation by BFU project on services which are available in BFC, the center’s operational guidelines, its interaction with state organs and private companies further captured attention of the event participants.

During the short training session private sector representatives acquired useful information on business opportunities that information-communication technologies provide.

It is expected that “one-stop-shop” approach in provision of business support services will substantially reduce the time for and number of interactions of entrepreneurs with different state organs and private establishments as well as get the cost cut of such interactions. Electronic information support via info-kiosk in BFC will further allow entrepreneurs to get necessary information on different aspects of doing business on timely basis in user-friendly format. BFC in Andijan should create additional convenience and favorable atmosphere for enhancing private sector development in the region.
