Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential Resolution "On measures to uninterruptedly provide consumers with motor gasoline in the autumn-winter period and prevent a sharp increase in its prices" was adopted.

According to the Resolution:

From 10 December 2022 to 1 March 2023, as an exception, a decision was made to apply a zero excise tax rate to AI-80 gasoline imported, produced by domestic enterprises and sold by business entities to end consumers.

From 10 December 2022 to 1 April 2023, it is allowed to conduct inspections of business entities on the facts of illegal and inefficient use of energy resources without interfering in their financial and economic activities, without coordination with the Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights and Legitimate Interests of Business Entities under the President.

Based on the results of inspections, law enforcement agencies are submitted submissions on the application of penalties established by legislative acts in relation to officials who have allowed excessive losses and theft of motor gasoline, as well as on the legal assessment of their activities.
