Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Meetings with business circles and heads of leading universities in Singapore continue as part of the visit of the Uzbek delegation to this country. Thus, on 12 January, Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov held talks with the head of Franklin Templeton Manraj Sekhon.

On the agenda is a detailed coordination of issues of medium-term and long-term measures, the implementation of which will attract large investors to the economy of Uzbekistan.

Timati Kwan, CEO of Virtus Health Singapore, discussed the prospects for creating women’s reproductive health centers in Tashkent, Samarkand and Fergana regions on the principles of public-private partnership.

On the same day, meetings were held with Director General of Nanyang Polytechnic University Henry Hang. The parties discussed agreements on expanding cooperation in the field of training personnel in the field of healthcare. At the end of December 2022, 23 Uzbek specialists completed advanced training courses in the field of healthcare management at the university. Starting from 1 March 2023, it is planned to launch a new series of courses in such areas as "medical engineering" and "information technology".

Prospects for the development of cooperation in the field of training and advanced training of civil servants of Uzbekistan were discussed at a meeting with the deputy director of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy Naneik Yuliati.

The negotiations made it possible to present specific investment cases, detail joint plans and demonstrated the mutual desire of the parties to increase cooperation in a wide range of areas.
