Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 14 December, a regular meeting of the associations Business Center for Economic Development of the CIS and Uzcharmsanoat was held in Moscow. The parties discussed possibilities for further development of cooperation.

During the dialogue, an exchange of views took place on the further expansion of trade, economic and investment cooperation, and an increase in trade turnover from the current level. At the meeting, the Uzbek side put forward initiatives to further attract Russian investors to our country, implement joint projects, establish production of products based on outsourcing and franchising, provide logistics services to Uzbek enterprises, and organize trading houses in Russia for enterprises in our country.

The leadership of the association "Business Center for Economic Development of the CIS", in turn, stated that these initiatives are extremely important today, and that there are conditions and opportunities for expanding cooperation in this area. As already noted, Russian tanneries have increased purchases of leather, footwear and fur products from Uzbekistan. He declared his readiness to assist in the creation of trading houses.

At the meeting, special attention was paid to the issue of organizing logistics services. It was noted that there are problems associated with logistics when delivering leather and footwear products imported from Uzbekistan, and to eliminate them it is necessary to establish the activities of companies and firms that provide logistics services to enterprises of both countries.

As a result of the dialogue, a Memorandum of Cooperation and Mutual Understanding was signed between the CIS Business Center for Economic Development association and the Uzcharmsanoat association.
