Business Activity Index was higher than 50 points, which shows positive development trend of business activity. The growth of index was observed in energy complex, chemistry, petrochemical and metallurgy industry (+6 points), agriculture and water management and consumer goods production (+1), as well as healthcare and ICT (+1).

The forecast figure for September 2012 made up 67.2 points, which shows restrained optimistic mood of the business. Business Activity Index in industry sector (APIC 100) was developed in June 2010 and calculated based on survey of 100 large and medium businesses. The APIC 100 replaced the Index APIC 50 (based on survey of 50 enterprises).

The index is calculated based on 5 basic indicators, such as new orders, production volume and realization, employment and ready products at warehouse.
