Bukhara region posts 4.9% GRP growth in 2009
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The gross regional product (GRP) of Bukhara region grew by 4.9% year-on-year in 2009, UzA reported.

The region’s industrial output increased by 4.4% and agriculture output rose by 4.7%. The construction works volume increased by 9.1% and retail trade turnover – 22.8%, services – 21.2%.

Loans for 22.8 billion soums were attracted into economy of Bukhara region, the report said. Share of small and private business in GRP reached 60.7%.

Thirty-two large projects on development and modernization of industry, as well as re-equipment were realized and it attracted US$732.4 million and 4.3 billion soums of investment.

Adopted measures on support of real economy allowed enterprises to save 96 billion soums and expand production capacities.
