Bukhara Football Federation officials this week met with the visiting Vision Asia delegation led by Director Brendan Menton.

Menton’s team is on an assessment mission to Bukhara and Tashkent to evaluate the status of football in the two regions under Vision Uzbekistan.

Bukhara is enjoying government support for its football development programmes and the province is hoping Vision Asia can add to the activities already underway.

“It is important that we have the support of all stakeholders in order to implement an effective development plan,” said Menton.

The Vision Asia plan initially focuses on five areas - administration, clubs & competitions, grassroots & youth, coach education and referees education. The goal is to launch Project Bukhara by the spring of 2009.

After Bukhara, the Vision Asia delegation travel to Tashkent to meet with local football officials.
