Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbek diplomats participated in the international "NSA Sheep Event," dedicated to sheep farming, which took place in the British town of Malvern, Dunyo news agency reported.
The exhibition was organized by the National Sheep Association once every two years and is traditionally held in Malvern. Each section of the exhibition is dedicated to sheep farming, covering areas such as sheep care, disease treatment, breeding of purebred sheep, and other related fields.
The main goal of the event is to foster cooperation between sheep farmers (livestock breeders) and major companies in the livestock and meat production industries.
Diplomats held talks with Phil Stocker, CEO of the National Sheep Association, Svetlana Collier, a senior specialist at the UK’s Department for Business and Trade, Chris Jackson, director of the Agricultural Technology Export Society at the Agricultural and Horticultural Development Board (UK TAG), as well as veterinarians from Export Certification Limited (UKECP).
Representatives from UK TAG and UKECP proposed conducting online training and consultations to enhance the qualifications of staff working in the agricultural and livestock sectors of Uzbekistan.
Uzbek farmers and partner organizations have been invited to participate in the international "NSA Sheep Event," organized by the National Sheep Association.
